About Lahia Tented Lodge
Another flagship property of the Tanganyika Wilderness Camps (TWC), Lahia is designed with a unique "Modern African" architectural style that utilizes high thatched roofs and expansive open-air decks. The lodge is famous for its infinity swimming pool that appears to spill directly into the Serengeti plains below. The main building is a masterpiece of sustainable design, offering multiple lounge areas, a sunset viewing deck, and a high-end restaurant serving international and local fusion cuisine.

Everything You Need to Know
Is Lahia a good choice for the Great Migration?
Yes, it is one of the best locations for the migration from mid-May to July. During this time, the herds move through the Western Corridor, often passing very close to the lodge.
Can I see the "Big Five" from the lodge?
While you may see elephants and buffalos near the lodge, the "Big Five" are typically spotted during game drives. The lodge's elevated position makes it an excellent spot for using binoculars to scan for wildlife movement on the plains.
Is there a lot of walking involved?
The tents are connected to the main house by a series of wooden boardwalks. While there is some walking, the paths are well-maintained. If you have mobility concerns, you can request a tent closer to the main area.
Does the lodge offer Wi-Fi?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in the main lounge and dining areas. Due to the remote location, the signal may be weaker in the individual guest tents.
Is the water safe to drink?
The lodge provides purified bottled water in all suites and during meals. It is recommended to use this for drinking and brushing teeth.
