While the roads in the Sabi Sands are unpaved, they are accessible by standard 2WD vehicles. However, most guests fly into the Leopard Hills airstrip or Ulusaba airstrip for convenience.
What makes the game drives special here?
The western sector of the Sabi Sands allows for off-road driving for Big Five sightings, meaning you can get incredibly close to the animals. Additionally, the vehicles are limited to a small number of guests to ensure everyone has a "window seat."
