What makes the bathrooms unique?
The standard bungalows feature iconic semi-open, rock-walled bathrooms. Guests can enjoy a hot shower fueled by eco-friendly solar geysers and wood-burning "donkey" boilers while looking out at the rugged Damaraland terrain.
Are children allowed at Camp Kipwe?
Yes, the camp is family-friendly and welcomes children of all ages. Children aged 3 to 12 can be accommodated on camping beds or in separate children's tents within the parent's suite at a reduced rate.
How do we reach the camp by vehicle?
Camp Kipwe is located along the D2612 road, right opposite its sister property, Mowani Mountain Camp. It is a 4-hour drive from Swakopmund and a 5.5-hour drive from Windhoek. While standard cars can access it during the dry season, a high-clearance SUV or 4x4 is strongly recommended for Namibia's gravel roads.
