Can I see white lions at Kings Camp?
Kings Camp is located in the Timbavati, the only place in the world where white lions occur naturally. While they are wild animals and sightings are never guaranteed, the lodge has a high success rate in tracking them.
How do I get to Kings Camp?
The most convenient way is to fly into Hoedspruit Airport (HDS). The lodge provides a complimentary transfer which takes about 45–60 minutes. Alternatively, there are daily flights directly into the Timbavati airstrip from Johannesburg.
Is the camp fenced?
No, Kings Camp is unfenced. This allows for an authentic wilderness feel, but for safety, guests are escorted by rangers between the main lodge and their suites after dark.
Are children allowed?
Kings Camp welcomes children aged 6 years and older. Families with younger children are encouraged to book the Waterbuck Private Villa for exclusive use.
