Travel Requirements
Access: Most visitors enter via the towns of Omaruru or Karibib.
Vehicle: A high-clearance vehicle is recommended for the gravel access roads; a 4x4 is necessary for some of the more remote farm tracks and sandy river crossings.
Permits: Since much of the mountain range is on private land or within the Conservancy, you must often be a guest at a local lodge or pay a day-visitor fee to access specific sites like Philipp's Cave.
Visa (2026): Ensure you have 3 blank pages in your passport and a valid visa if your nationality is not exempt under the updated 2025/2026 regulations.
